It is with great sadness that we, the family of Donald Eugene Dickie of Oxford, announce his sudden passing on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the age of 63.  Donald was a son of the late Melvin and Sadie (Mattinson) Dickie.

Don was an avid Montreal Canadians fan and enjoyed everything about the sport of hockey.

Don will be sadly missed by a daughter, Erica (Chris Layte), of Oxford; two brothers, Reginald of Barrie, ON and David of Amherst; three sisters, Charlotte Conrad of Amherst, Arlene (James) Shorey and Madelene (Tony McLean) Rafuse, all of Georgetown, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Don was predeceased by his brother Douglas.

Arrangements for Don are under the care and supervision of W. Allen Funeral Home, Oxford (447-2167) from where a funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.  Interment will be held in the spring.

Donations in Don's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of one's choice.
