Elizabeth Georgina Steele, age 89, of Pugwash, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 5, 2024 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

Born in Wallace, NS, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Sullivan) Steele.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her caring companion of many years Dr. Saeed Hashmi; brothers Logan, Almon, Harold, Stanley; Helen, Anita Edna and Isabel.

Elizabeth is survived by Nasir ( Araceli ) Hashmi, Aurora, Ont to whom she was like a mother to as well as their son Liam; sisters Laura and Marion; and brother Jim (Bub).

Arrangements have been entrusted to W. Allen Funeral Home (902-447-2167), Oxford NS.  A private graveside service will be held in the Wallace Cemetery.  A tree will be planted at East Cumberland Lodge in her memory.
