Born in Amherst, NS,  she was a daughter of the late William and Genevieve St. Peter.

Theresa enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, gardening and flowers. She loved baking and cooking for family and friends and she loved her cats. She was also known to putter around the house, doing word search books, puzzles, reading and drawing. She also enjoyed a number of road trips with family and friends.

Theresa worked at Sonny Boy Bakery, Life Savers and The Wandlyn (Travelodge)

Theresa will be dearly missed by her husband Warren; children Andrew Messenger, Janice Brown (Noel), Karen Messenger Taylor (Bill), Theresa Messenger; grandchildren Anthony Taylor, Dianne (David) Van De Weil, Michael Brown, Jennifer (Shawn) Stuart, April Messenger (Gordie), Lee Brown (Kristine); five great-grandchildren; brother Gary (Ruth) St. Peter; sister-in-law Marjorie (Billy Dee); numerous nieces and nephews. Theresa was not only a mother to her own children but was the other mother to many kids on "the hill".

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Messenger, sisters Dorothy Steele and Phyllis Pellerin; brother-in-laws Ricky Scott and Garth Scott.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and doctors of the Palliative Care Unit at the Colchester East Hants Health Care Centre.
